There was a debate to choose on who was the biggest ancient idiot. After a lot a brain storming sessions, finally Dusshasana was chosen as the ancient idiot.
Becoz he was pulling and pulling the saree of Draupadi, instead of just LIFTING it.

I would like to disagree on that...i think the biggest idiot should be kansa...lord krishna's uncle...

I guess kansa wanted us to read the Bhagwad Gita and gain some knowledge and maybe therefore he kept both of them in the same cell....but we being humans never appreciate good things given into our hands....lol..
