  • Had a blast while attending Aasish marriage at Kolkatta. Had sum memorable moments.
  • No matter where I go, I develop this perennial cold and cough…! Due to the change of climate I suppose, but it can get quite irritating specially nose-block which makes it difficult to breathe!
  • M tired of traveling… and yet, I am craving for more!
  • What I need at the moment is a LONG break… and I mean a longgggggggggggg break - preferably spanning 2-3 months! - 10 odd days at home only make me long for more! :(
  • I am tired of living alone to make a life of my own, a career! - I now want to live with my family… Alas! Thats not happening for some time :(

Feeling Gud!

Well, I don't know about you, but today was a good day for me! Some things that have been holding me up for over a week with a commisioning of an Indian Oil RO.. just worked themselves out today! I had given myself the target of completing this thing before I moved on to my new project and I was beginning to get worried that I might get held up here for a while, but now this phase of the commisioning is finished and so I can go on to the next phase! You don' know that I'm in a good mood! smily

When I am in a good mood,I just want to do Bang-Bang-Bangsmily
I tell you what, if you're down, you need to lift your spirits... and if you're not down now, well, think this good thought on the day when you are down...
Be worried , really worried.. smily

Someone Smwhere....

A thick haze settles over the ocean,

The horizon turns pink as far as the eye can see.

All creatures hurry back home,

As the sun plunges into the sea.

Someone somewhere made a fortune today,

Someone somewhere lost all that he ever had.

Someone will sleep with a smile on his face,

Someone with a heavy heart will be sad.

Someone somewhere was born to rule,

Someone somewhere was born to die.

Someone today found someone he loves,

Someone has left someone to cry.

Someone's life has changed today,

For some, it was just another day.

Someone somewhere is dumbfounded by his good fate,

Someone has nothing more left to say.

The beauty of this setting sun,

Is too divine for me to summarize.

As I sit here and watch the setting sun,

Someone somewhere sees it rise......

Sex with Ghosts ?

A visiting professor at Texas A & M University is giving a seminar on the supernatural.

To get a feel for his audience, he asks, "How many people here believe in ghosts?" About 90 students raise their hands.

"Well that's a good start. Out of those of you who believe in ghosts, do any of you think you've ever seen a ghost?" About 40 students raise their hands.

"That's really good. I'm really glad you take this seriously. Has anyone here ever talked to a ghost?" 15 students raise their hands.

"That's a great response. Has anyone here ever touched a ghost?" Three students raise their hands.

"That's fantastic. But let me ask you one question further.....Have any of you ever made love to a ghost?" One student in the back raises his hand.

The professor is astonished. He takes off his glasses, takes a step back, and says, "Son, all the years I've been giving this lecture, no one has ever claimed to have slept with a ghost. You've got to come up here and tell us about your experience."

The redneck student replies with a nod and a grin, and begins to make his way up to the podium.

The professor says, "Well, tell us what it's like to have sex with a ghost."

The student replies, "Ghost? Damn..... From back there I thought you said, 'Goats'!"

'Om Shanti Om' beats 'Saawariya' at the box office

Finally the verdict is out..Om Shanti Om proved out to be a Superhit and Saawariya did an Average at the Box office.
The box office seems to favour SRK’s ‘Om Shanti Om’ in comparison to Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s much-touted magnum opus Saawariya’.
While King Khan’s film registered 90 percent occupancy across the country on its Diwali release, Bhansali’s love story managed 60 percent.

Now time for reviews from my side.....starting with OM Shanti Om..
The movie is just entertaining! and Thats it! leave all your thinking caps at home and just get ready to get entertained! story goes like this its basically a re borth movie shot in the 70s first half, to present times. There are some twist in the movies which will have you thinking, srk does well, deepika makes a decent debute arjun rampal does well too the song deewanagi was really amazing to watch lasted 10mins actully..main agar kahoon was well shown! overal 4/5.

Saawariya to me was a huge disapointment actully the music did grow on me but the film was too slow and dragged big time, story was nothing new just a normal love story, the sets were amazing but this movie is more art then story i would say this is SLB's worst attempted and I would like to see it again to maybe understand why I didnt like it..Randbir did really good he can dance well Sonam is an angel ..she looks amazing ..chemistry is great placed on a weak script.. overal 2/5

Overala my pick is Om Shanti Om for dis week afterall its all about having Paisa Vasool.

Thank you

Thankz to all who visted n commented here last mnth or wteva..You all have indeed been bountiful.

I know by reading a lot of blogs that many bloggers feel that they would write to their blogs even if no one was commenting or reading it. Speaking for myself, I need people to read what I have written. I especially love it when they come back, or comment upon what I have wrote, because that gives me the impression that I'm not doing too badly here.

Again, thanks for coming, please come again, because I do it all for you... Actually, I do it for me too, but if you all don't come. I'll have to find another way to get my jollies.... mmmmbye!

Wt a job-interview is like!!!

I was idly surfing and I came across this page about "The 10 most common interview questions" and I decided to read it. Well lemme tell you dat I'm totally business oriented guy and I don't even have a clue what a job interview is like.

Here are the questions :

What Are Your Weaknesses?
Why Should We Hire You?
Why Do You Want to Work Here?
What Are Your Goals?
Why Did You Leave (Are You Leaving) Your Job?
When Were You Most Satisfied in Your Job?
What Can You Do for Us That Other Candidates Can't?
What Are Three Positive Things Your Last Boss Would Say About You?
What Can You Do for Us That Other Candidates Can't?
What Salary Are You Seeking?
If You Were an Animal, Which One Would You Want to Be?

Wow! Based on these questions, you really have to prepare for them, huh? I doubt that some of the questions would really work in telling the company that you are the best candidate for the job. For instance, who would answer the question "What are your weaknesses?" with "Well, I'm a little bit too much lazy, and shouldn't leave money lying around carelessly if I get the job here.".

Questions like "Why Should We Hire You?", "Why Do You Want To Work Here?" and "What Can You Do for Us That Other Candidates Can't?" will most likely only show you who has best prepared for questions such as these. Maybe the level of preparation will indicate who wants the job most, but it isn't likely to tell you who is best for the position, at least not in my opinion.

I don't like the question "What Salary Are You Seeking?". I think that you can really screw yourself up here... If you ask for too low an amount, they might just take you up on it, and if you ask for too much, they might just pass over you. I much prefer when they tell me what they're offering, so that I can decide if I'm going to pass them over!

Oh, what do you think of "If You Were an Animal, Which One Would You Want to Be?"? Boy, if they asked me that, I would immediately answer "Man, of course!"

Wtever! I guess they've got to ask you something, after all, it'd be a bit disturbing if you entered, they looked you over and then flicked a coin to make the decision, nuh true?

Assasination Attempt against Bhutto..

A day after Pakistan Ex- PM Benazir Bhutto returned to Pakistan after a self imposed exile her convoy was attacked while driving through Karachi in a devastating car bombing that killed more than 130 people and more than 600 injured.

Pakistani government claims that Taliban/Al Qaeda were involved in the attacks should be discounted because there are so many different terrorist groups that could have carried out the attacks. Pakistani officials have been quick to implicate the Taliban and al Qaeda in assassination attempt against former Pakistani Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto. But before anyone gives too much credence to such reports, remember: This is Pakistan. And Pakistan harbors many terrorist groups of its very own.

Yes, both the Taliban and al Qaeda are active in Pakistan, especially where the country drifts into anarchy on its border with Afghanistan. And they could well be involved in this attack.

The larger issue, however, is Pakistan's inability (or unwillingness) to take on terrorists -- militarily and otherwise -- within its borders. On that score, the attack could give President Pervez Musharraf the political cover he needs to finally do something about Pakistan's terrorist problem.

Will Musharraf use the opportunity of the attack to clean out the services and mount an all-out offensive against the warlords -- including the Afghan Taliban, al Qaeda, local clerics and other tribals -- who have turned the border region of Waziristan into the new command headquarters for global terror?

In the past, he was reluctant to make such offensives for fear that he would be seen as doing the bidding of the United States. But now, with the support of Bhutto and her People's Party, perhaps Musharraf will have the backbone and the stomach to pursue the mission.Lets c !!!

The Rain continues...

People, I really must apologize, I don't have anything worthy of discussion. I suppose the one thing that features in everyone's mind this week is this persistent RAIN dat continues like a "DURACELL" battery, it just keeps going and going and going.....
I guess that you can tell that I don't have much to discuss today. Sometimes life is like that, excitement one day and dull the next. So before I'm accused of boring anyone, let me leave you all to enjoy the rest of what is left of this rather wet Friday...Keep warm and take care.

Truly a Masterpiece!

After a serious post and another hard day at work, it is that time to let it all (I won't bother to tell you what) hang out and jus cool. So, I thought of pouring some Bacardi in this rany day and maybe jus chill out and watch some TV...but that didn't do the trick.

So, I retreated to the sanctuary where my HP is kept and booted up. Decided to surf a bit and I came across this really scenic shot at a site called Wickedweasel

As you all know how much I love pictures of scenery. This one shows the blue sky with a 'rolling hill' in the foreground. There is a shadow cast by one mountain 'cheek' against the other. Man, this is art... I recently read a post of one of my blog mates Dyingsoul that was asking if people thought of graffiti as art. My response was that it is the person who is beholding the 'piece' that determines what is art and what is not. So, there may be some who may see this piece of art and think of it as porn, or offensive, but guess what..

I call it a MASTERPIECE!

With those words of lust and wisdom, I m going to finish ma drink and go draw two snore. Enjoy!

Who is actually running this country?

How's everyone been doing? I am fine despite my absence. I have been doing much more reading than writing, and I must say I am liking it that way. No pressure to post ntgh!

You know ...At times, it seems to me like the COURTS are running this country, or atleast would be able to run the country more efficiently than the Government. Allright, they have their drawbacks.. but look at so many things happening around you.

In Delhi, for instance, the CNG conversion, the sealing of illegal constructions, the shifting of industries.. all that has been made possible only because of the courts. Especially the environment related cases, where the court has shown real activism. The latest being the Narmada Bachao Andolan case. Left to the government, the rehabilitation is just not taking place. But why? Why do these displaced people have to fight so much and knock on the doors of courts to get what's their due! If only the government would do its job properly. I think the most important concern should be that a proper rehabilitation must take place. The dam is being built.. it's not going to be stopped, and it's going to serve a lot of people. But one shouldn't forget those who have to suffer because of it. They also come into your voting banks Mr. Politicion?

Well Pakistan is facing the same thing too.Citing one case of such relevance..Iftikhar Choudhary - The supreme court Judge,Pakistan, being called as a Challenger in Pakistan, recently gave sum historical judgement by allowing Ex- PM Nawaz Shariff to return to Pakistan despite being sent to exile for corruption charges charged by the present govt..But why is he allowed after so many allegations & corruption is a different issue. That I will talk bout sum other time.

There's been innumerable cases of conflict between the Court and the Govt related to their jurisdiction and powers. Recently everyone heard Manmohan Singh (PM Of India) using his so called discretionary powers by advising the supreme court not to cross their limits and for staying away from the govt. matters.

It appears to me now dat the Courts have become more powerful than the Government ..who do you think?

Well My advise to both of you - Beth ke maandwaali kar lo aur apna apna Area divide kar lo...simple!

Still Sleeping

Well friends, its Saturday morning (as if you don't know) and I'm sure that many of you are still in deep erotic sleep at the time of this posting. Enjoy it, sleep is good and I think many people in today's world do not get enough.

I'm sure that you all look forward to weekends as much as I do.After a hard week at work its that time when everybody tries to unwind and catch up on all those things that you just weren't able to attend to during the week.

People also seem to be much more relaxed on the weekend, I suppose that this is a direct result of not having to go to work. There is much less traffic on the road (especially on Sunday) and eveyone is dressed in casual attire.

Sundays are an even more sacred part of the weekend . Its been a tradition in my home over the years to have a special meal on Sundays. Calling it a SHAHI one would be more appropriate. Favourites include Shahi Pulao, raita, and others. The thought now has me salivating.

Neways whatever you do this weekend, just enjoy it to the fullest. . If I'm inspired during the course of the day maybe I will post something later. 'Till such time.....ciao..feel like having one more round on the bed..Saturday & Sunday's always been a sleep day for me.

Gudnite everybody.lol.

E-mail to my Loving Wife

A man checked into a hotel. There was a computer in his room, so he decided to send an e-mail to his wife.

However, he accidentally typed a wrong e-mail address, and without realizing his error, he sent the e-mail.

zara zara bahakta hai mahakta hai aaj to mera tan badan Today my body sways and scents the air with fragrance.

yeh duurii kahatii hai paas mere aa jaa re This distance tells you to come near me; come!
yuun hii baras baras kaalii ghaTaa barse Just like black clouds shower down rain,
ham yaar bhiig jaae'n is chaahat kii baarish mein beloved, let's drench ourselves in the rainfall of desire.
merii khulii khulii laTo'n ko suljhaae'n Untangle my free-flowing tresses
tuu apnii ungliyo'n se with your fingers;
mein to isii khwaahish mein this is my fantasy.
sardii kii raato'n mein ham so'e rahein ik chaadar mein in the cold nights, we sleep beneath one blanket;
ham dono tanha ho'n na koii bhii rahe is ghar mein we two are alone; no one else is in the house.
zara zara bahakta hai mahakta hai aaj to mera tan badan Today my body sways and scents the air with fragrance.
mein pyaasii huun mujhe bhar le apnii baahon mein I m thirsty; quench me with your embrace.
aa jaa re aa re Come, come to me.
taRpaae'n mujhe terii sabhii baatein Everything you say makes me pine;
ek baar hai diiwaane jhuutha hi sahii pyaar to kar Maddy, false or true, just love me once!

bechain karke mujhko mujh se yuun na pher nazar Having made me restless, don't avert your gaze like that.
ruuthega na mujhse mere saathiya yeh vaada kar Promise me, my companion, you shall not quarrel with me.
tere bina mushkil hai jiina mera mere dilbar Without you, living would be impossible, my love.
zara zara bahakta hai mahakta hai aaj to mera tan badan Today my body sways and scents the air with fragrance.

Right to Information Act,2005 - Really a Boon!

Hi guyz.. Ever heard of the “Right to Information Act,2005”. Well under this ACT u have the right to obtain any kind of information from any govt. office or department. if there is no reply from the person u seeking information from within 30 days then that asshole will have to pay a fine of Rs. 25,000/-. Isn't dat gr8...just hatts off to the govt. who proposed it . I dunno whether it's BJP or the CONgress. Do temme if anyone knowz. feelin a bit lazy in finding it out.lol.

I personally believe its a boon to the deprived people of the society living in this corrupted atmosphere who juss cant afford to push their file from one office to another n keeps hoping n hoping..n finally their hope dies or they die. But the file doesn't moves an inch.

Well we used to talk abt this act almost everday but I never got the chance to really apply to chck its worth. Finally I made up my mind … n the result I got was amazing. Few days back I wrote an application to the Dy. commissioner seeking information on the “NOC” issue. Actually many gas station owners get unnecessarily harassed by the officials on the same issue. n they end up bribing them cuz they are unaware abt the NOC procedure.. N the officials keep fooling them. So I thought y not try it under the RTI act for obtaining the information. Well here’s the application n you can also check the format if you are abt to apply.

To
The Public Information Officer,
Under the RTI Act, 2005
Office of the Dy.Commissioner(DC)
******(District)
Date : 2/08/2007

Sub: Application under Sec.6 of the Right to Information Act.

Sir,
I want to have information/answers to the below noted queries.

1. Is there any validity period for the "No Objection Certificate"(NOC) once issued by the District Administration and waiting for approval from your side, for the installation of Petrol Pumps/Retail Outlets of Oil companies?

2. If there is any certain time limit then why it is not mentioned in the NOC itself and in any other relevant documents while issuing?

3. Under what rule & circular the revalidation of the NOC is being demanded when the expiry term is nowhere mentioned in the NOC and and in any other issued papers?

4. Does the validity period of such NOC, if any, differ from State to State? If yes then why?

5. In case the commissioning of the petrol Pump gets delayed for some reason like construction work etc., then will it be a compulsion to revalidate the NOC?

I am enclosing herewith a Postal order of Rs. 20/- favouring the Public Information Officer of your office for furnishing the information.

Yours faithfully,

Name/Add/Ph no.

N can u believe this..On 4th only I got a call from the Public Information Officer enquiring whther I wanted the information verbally or in writing ..He then confirmed me dat the application has been forwarded to the Dy. Commissioner office and assured me dat I’ll get the reply within a week or two.Yaaron Sun ke bus maza hi aa gaya.

Well..I’ll keep updating u abt the matter on the comments section of this post.So keep checking.

Sanjay Dutt TADA case - The much awaited judgement!!!

Finally after many trials and tribulations, Sanjay Dutt was sentenced to six years' rigorous imprisonment in the 1993 Mumbai bombings case. Mannn I m feeling so sick today.Guyz I am a big fan of "Baba".I was really praying to God since morning that he receives minimum punishment or no punishment at all.Uff..

Afterall everyone knows dat he left all the previous mistake n bad conducts even left consuming drugs n was heading for a brighter life..I just don’t understand - Jab ek daaku valmiki ban sakta hai… then y not sanju baba. The court ulterior motive should not be just of punishing the accused ..it only makes it worst..should mainly focus on making the accused a gud human being n not making him bad forever.. Juss wanna ask law one thing... Wt will he becum after completing the charged sentence staying wid all those hardcore criminals..certainly a "BHAI".Isn't it so? So the law should think on the positive side too.

Sanjay Dutt's case in 1993 Bombay Blasts.

Sanjay Dutt was today awarded six-year rigorous imprisonment by a special Terrorist and Disruptive Activities (Prevention) Act (TADA) court for illegal possession of arms.

The court also cancelled Dutt's bail plea, and ordered that the actor be taken into custody immediately.

Special Judge P D Kode also imposed a fine of rupees 25,000 on Dutt, and rejected his probation plea.

"Sanjay made others commit offence. Sanjay's act has not harmed anyone, but possession of AK-47 was dangerous," Judge Kode observed.

Dutt's friends, Kersi Adajenia and Yusuf Nullwala, convicted under the Arms Act, were awarded two-year and five-year jail terms respectively, while Russi Mulla, who kept Dutt's pistol, was released on probation, after furnishing a bond of one lakh rupees.

According to the the Probation of Offenders Act, a person convicted of any offence other than the one punishable with death or life imprisonment, can be released on probation instead of serving the sentence in prison.

Dutt has already spent nearly 15 months, as an undertrial before being released on bail in 1996.

On November 28, the TADA court found Dutt guilty under the Arms Act and not the TADA Act.

The minimum sentence for the charges under which Dutt has been found guilty is three years. The 15 months (from July 4, 1994 to October 16, 1995) that Dutt has already served in jail will be deducted from the sentence.

Dutt was booked for possessing an AK-56 rifle that had come in a consignment of arms and explosives meant for use in the Mumbai serial blasts that killed 257 people.

Dutt had admitted to the charges in his confession made shortly after his arrest in on April 22, 1993. But later retracted the same.

He had confessed that underworld don Abu Salem visited his Pali Hill home in January 1993. Samir Hingora and Hanif Kadawala, the two close associates of underworld don Dawood Ibrahim and proprietors of Magnum Video brought Salem to his home, he had said.

He further said that out of the three AK-56 rifles brought by Salem and some magazines and 250 rounds, he kept only one AK-56 rifle.

Dutt said that he needed the weapons to protect his family as threatening calls were received during the 1992-93 Mumbai riots. In spite of repeated complaints, he said, there was no police protection given to him or his family.

But when he heard about the blasts and the arrests of Samir and Hanif, he asked his friend Yusuf Nulwalla to destroy the gun.

On June 1, Samir Hingora - the man who supplied the AK-56 rifle to Dutt was awarded nine years' rigorous imprisonment.

The Comedy Shows : It Sucx Now!

One year back when I saw the "Laughter Challenge" that seemed to me quite interesting but now every channel is ready to suck by flooding of such shows. Earlier When Laughter Challenge used to come on Star One, everything was very good on that show, whether that was the Host or the contestant, now the contestant became the host in other shows which is very Pathetic. Even News Channels are broadcasting these kind of shows, sometimes u can’t differentiate between News Channels and Entertainment channels. Mann this really SUCKS now.

"Comedy Champion" on Sahara One hosted by Khayali, "Aisi ki Taisi" on Aaj Tak hosted by Raju Srivatava, "Comedy Ka Badsshah:Hassega India "(?) on Sony Entertainment Television hosted by Rakhi sawant and Raju Srivastava and many more but none of them brigns smile on your face, but yes u feel like banging your head because of their cheap activity and third class jokes.

Think over it once>>>

01. The greatest bliss is that the innermost thought CAN remain undivulged. If others knew what we ‘can’ think, there could be a war everyday.
02.
I want to live in the world on my terms – Hemmingway
03. Do the best things in life come free or is there no free lunch?
04. Do good intentions justify mismanagement?
05. Treat to the one who explains to me James Joyce’s Ulysses.
06. What did Vaughan mean when he said, “I saw eternity the other night”?
07
. Is Jackie Chan a masochist? Otherwise, why does he hurt himself in all the films and have it shown to us in the end of the film.
08. What would a refrigerator or a train be called if a ‘Telugu’ or a ‘Hindi’ man were to invent them?(there are no words for these things in these languages)
09. The word ‘like’ has the maximum number of meanings.
10.
What would all those on-looking foreigners be thinking when our heroes and heroines rehearse/shoot for dance/song sequence for our movies in those foreign locales?
11. Can your current ‘good deeds’ cleanse of your ‘past sins’?
12. Will people stop calling Photocopy as "XEROX"?
13. Will maidservants stop asking for ‘surf’ when they want washing powder.
14. Rebel destroys the system; revolutionary transforms it.
15. Culture is a way of life; not something, which happened in past; nor something, which is preserved in museums.

Post Scriptum:
Point 2 – That he later committed suicide is a different matter.
Point 4 – Behind Nehru’s misplaced planning on making India a superpower through socialistic philosophy were good intentions.
Point 10 – It is more interesting to watch these people in the background (with question mark on their faces) than watch our heroes and heroines dance.
Point 14 – In India, many activists do rebellious/destructive activities in the name of revolution /constructive activity (Medha Patkars of the world included).

Going for a correspondence MBA – Time to rethink!

I have come across many people who say that they have a "correspondence MBA" and therefore they should be given weightage for it. I personally believe that, simply, a correspondence MBA is useless. Wastage of time alongwid money. Correspondence accounting courses, technical courses and even economics courses are ok, but a correspondence MBA course, definitely not.

An MBA is not about mugging a few theories and appearing for an exam. Many students, especially the ones who go to tier II and tier III MBAs view the MBA as just another course, or as I often put it, "Advanced BCom".

An MBA is not about Accounting, Costing, Marketing and Operations Research papers. It is about being able to learn concepts and applying them. So, you spend time learning these concepts in your classes and you apply them through your case studies, the projects you take up and the internship that you do during your summer months.

The other thing that a good MBA course teaches is "you are not the only one who is smart". Put in a class of 60 odd people from varied backgrounds - including ones with experience, without experience, military experience, bureaucracy experience and varied educational and social backgrounds - and what you get is a pure intellectual buffet. In a case study, you would think you have covered all angles when a team blows you with another 30 different angles.

The MBA is also a race against time. You are expected to complete 3 or 8 different case studies within 24 hours. How do you do it? Time management, planning are things that really, cannot be taught beyond a certain point. You got to pick up skills as you go along.

It is about team work. For the individual contributor - or those who can never work in a team, it is about being able to work with a team. For the rest, it is about being able to work on your strengths or being able to reduce your weakness by trying something you have never tried.

On the other side a Correspondence teaches you very little. It prescribes a few books and offers you some notes. Yes, it does involve commitment of time, but really not as much as the other options and then again, NO interactions with other teams or professors.

Mannn just reading a few courses and mouthing a few jargons is simply not enough for an MBA (though you can argue that most MBAs at the end are reduced to only that).

At the end of it my simple advice. If at all, you want an MBA and you cannot take a two year full time course, look at a one year MBA or a part time MBA. Part time MBAs (that demand a fair time while you are working) are tough. I would go so far as saying, it is tougher than a regular full time course. Usually the people who enrol for a part time course or a one year executive MBA are very committed and it does make for a wonderful experience. This is what I have gathered from some of my past seniors who have taken the 3 years part time course at XLRI, Jamshedpur.

Well,Queries,if any, to the above post will be answered by Mr.Anil (my management pal in yesteryears) on my behalf.

Returns to - Dad!

This is not my workpiece but worth a reading.

When you were 8 years old,
your dad handed you an ice cream.
You thanked him by dripping it all over your lap.

When you were 10 years old,
he paid for piano lessons.
You thanked him by never even bothering to practice.

When you were 13,
he suggested a haircut that was becoming.
You thanked him by telling him he had no taste.

When you were 15 years old,
he warned you not to watch certain TV shows.
You thanked him by waiting until he left the house.

When you were 17,
he taught you how to drive his car.
You thanked him by taking it every chance you could.

When you were 18,
he was expecting an important call.
You thanked him by being on the phone all night.

When you were 19,
he paid for your college tuition, drove you to campus, carried your bags.
You thanked him by saying good-bye outside the dorm so you wouldn't be embarrassed in front of your friends.

When you were 50,
he fell ill and needed you to take care of him.
You thanked him by reading about the burden parents become to their children.

And then, one day, he quietly died. And everything you never did came crashing down like thunder on YOUR HEART.

Just think wt return ur giving to him in the present stage.! I hope its not too late...............!!!

Finally......

Been the worst month of my life....but bit by bit...how every spoke in the wheel gets its time in the sun I just might get mine...

First time,in a long time, I am actually looking forward to the sunrise tomorrow...a new day...a new beginning...

(And to all those who care...all those who mailed...sorry for not blogging for so long...just that grief was a little too personal for a public statement...)

Being-in-Touch

To be in Touch - I once thought it to be a very simple statement, but the meaning it holds is probably zillion times heavier... How does it matter whether you are in touch or not? Good question haan..but does that carry an equally good answer? Well may not be a good answer, but a sad answer.. It matters.. and that too sometimes painfully.

Well as we move on in life, we get to know a lot of people, but only a few tend to stick on. If we ignore the few as well, well.. then there is nothing more to be said here.

As someone who loves to be in touch with people, I have made the mistake of not being in touch with some of my once-close friends. And with that, I have lost some very good friends. LOST.. that s it.. there is no going back, because, I am guilty.. I AM GUILTY of not being in touch with my friends.

When did dis hit me? When I heard the news of a friend's death, I was stunned. I got this news from another common friend. I felt guilty of not being there for him when he would ve needed a friend the most. I felt guilty of not being able to call him and speak to him. Now dis pain doesnt tends to get away.

This made me email many of my other friends and start the being-in-touch process once again. I have missed another close friend's wedding, and another friend's maternity. But I will make up for this all.

I hope I get another chance.....

And I learnt a lesson dat I wanted to convey all of you - It doesnt hurt to be in touch... but it really hurts very much not to be in touch......

Plz be in touch....

Choice of Food by Different Sun Signs!

If you are planning for a party or date and are unsure of what kind of delicacies or restaurant one would prefer? I have a very simple suggestion. Know the sun sign of that person, read this article and take a call.

Fiery Rams (Aries) love appetizers and hot and spicy food. Being impatient, they prefer fast food or anything that doesn't take time in cooking would be best for them, eg. pizza or cheese grilled sandwich. Preferably luxurious restaurants but it should be value for money. They would like to spice up their meals with cinnamon, basil and curry.

As (Taurus) is ruled by Venus, they prefer luxurious restaurants, turning a blind eye to their wallet without compromising to mediocre meals. Gourmet Taureans having sweet tongue, love marshmallows, cinnamon, nutmeg, Gulabjamun, Rasgulla or anything sweet. In short, if your `sweetheart' is a Taurean, offer the sweetest dish available.

Airy (Geminis) would prefer variety in light food. They love ginger and parsley but if you surprise them with a mix match, they would love it more. Take them for a long drive on a dark desert highway and pick up something from food-joint On-the-GO, as they are always in hurry. They would love it.

Home dwelling Crabs may prefer homemade food. Diet cautious (Cancerians) know what suits their stomach. They love food with basil, garlic, mint, nutmeg and vanilla. Restaurants of their preference should have collection of old or country songs - Beatles, Bee Gees or Frank Sinatra can really delight them. If you invite them for `potluck' at your home and play oldies, they would be more than happy.

(Leos) prefer `Royal Treatment' - so they may choose `Five Star' Restaurants and Three Course Meals. They like hot spicy food - mostly cloves, nutmeg and parsley. They might avoid Garlic or Onions. They prefer heavy and tongue burning delicacies- like tavaa paneer. Leos become lazy after having their meals and prefer to hibernate.

(Virgos) are choosy eaters and prefer hygienic, healthy and well balanced diet. They like parsley, vanilla, herbs and mint. Virgo being fixed sign, may go for tried and tested food only. They fancy well-decorated dishes, reflecting their organised behaviour. To please and impress a Virgo, you can choose a restaurant with extravagant ambience.

(Librans) love to give and take treats. They prefer sophisticated and luxurious places. They may take time on deciding what to eat and order something twice because they just can't resist the temptation. Ruled by Venus, Librans also like and prefer Five Star dining. They love ginger, mint, cloves, vanilla or anything sweet.

Never impressed with big meals, (Scorpions) love to try out wide variety of food. They would prefer food with strong flavours like garlic, ginger, curry and cinnamon. Offer them something that makes them nostalgic. They are not so choosy about restaurant but if savour matches with what they eat at home, They will be glad.

Well-targeted and enthusiastic (Sagittarians) prefer exotic cuisine. Generally bored with routine, Archers always seek for unusual. Foreign cuisine is a good option for them. Remember they love onions, garlic, cloves and curries. They prefer to go on a long drive till they are famished and then HOG!!

Passionate lover (Capricorn) always thinks of value for the food they have. They believe in `dream dining experience'. Capricornians adore exotic things, like cloves, nutmeg or plain parsley. They find pleasure in pulses, as they believe in maintaining appetite. Either they would go to a place where food is hygienic or an eatery with large sitting areas.

Creative and innovative (Aquarians) always like new variety. If you serve them with a mix match, they would adore it. Take them to a multi cuisine and they may just go on ordering varieties till they are full. Busy and always On-the-GO, Aquarians like `quick bites'. Fast food joints and pizza joints match their expectations perfectly. Paradoxically, they have wide preferences but may prefer almost everything. Buffet at public places is a good option for them.

(Piscean) would love `Sea food' which is but natural. Living their dining experience is very important for fantastical Pisceans. They make mental sojourn to Mexico if you take them to Mexican Cuisine. Poolside or outdoor sea facing restaurants would make them merry. They may prefer to have organic food. They believe in enjoying every single moment by being fantastical or nostalgic.
